SWIMMING POOL REPAIR COMPANY

This is a repair company for swimming pools.  Currently, they do no maintenance or construction. They operate throughout the Greater Houston areas.  The business operates from Sellers’ home. The owner is an authorized repair technician for Fluidra (Parent for Jandy/Zodiak). All technicians are licensed by the state, and the company carries full insurance. The company has a great reputation online. In the last 6 months, 10% of the work orders are home warranty companies, 16% are Fluidra repairs, and 74% are retail. That is a huge difference in the make-up of the business from when they purchased the company. Of the work orders, the contractor in Houston does about 40%, and the owner does the rest along with managing. Based on tracked hours, 60% of the work orders and 100% of managing requires about 40+/- hours per week. Some are busier than others for sure. It also depends on how in-depth the new owner wants to track expenses and costs. The average sale per job is $422 for the last 6 months. Feb was lower because of lots of heater bypass jobs and short diagnostic jobs, not so many repairs. Repairs were big in Mar and Apr. Spring through Fall average around 60-70 work orders per month. Winter drops down to 40-50. The company has a huge database of current and past customers. There are more than 1500 addresses in the database. The database is searchable, so it is easy to see which customers are in specific zip codes, etc. The database also contains information and pics of the pool equipment for each person. This helps with some remote diagnostics.
